Credit Costs per Operation

Every operation that Takumo performs consumes a specific number of credits:

A Shield scan is the cheapest operation at 1 credit. A full code review is the most expensive at 5 credits. Most day-to-day usage is Shield scans and policy evaluations, both at 1 credit each.

Overage

What happens when you exceed your monthly credit allowance depends on your plan:

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrading

Go to Billing

Navigate to Settings > Billing in the dashboard.

Select a plan

Choose the plan you want to upgrade to.

Confirm

The upgrade takes effect immediately. You get access to the new plan’s features and credit allowance right away.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to your current plan’s features until then. If you’re downgrading from a plan that includes features you’re actively using (e.g., fleet management on Pro, SSO on Enterprise), those features will become unavailable when the downgrade takes effect.

Monitoring Usage

The Billing page shows:
  • Current plan and renewal date
  • Credits used this billing period vs. your allowance
  • Credit burn rate — how quickly you’re consuming credits based on recent usage
  • Overage charges — any charges beyond your included allowance
